Birthday of  Sir Frederick Gowland Hopkins               Sir Frederick Gowland Hopkins   (20 June 1861 – 16 May 1947) was an English  biochemist  who was awarded the  Nobel Prize in Physiology or Medicine  in 1929, with  Christiaan Eijkman , for the discovery of  vitamins .  He also discovered the amino acid  tryptophan , in 1901. Today the famous comic strip Garfield was first published. It chronicles the life of the title character, the cat Garfield; his owner, Jon; and Jon's dog, Odie. As of 2013, it was syndicated in roughly 2,580 newspapers and  journals , and held the  Guinness World Record  for being the world's most widely  syndicated   comic strip .   Garfield  has spawned merchandise earning $750 million to $1 billion annually.

                  Charles Louis Alphonse Laveran  (18 June 1845 – 18 May 1922) was a French physician who won the  Nobel Prize in Physiology or Medicine  in 1907 for his discoveries of  parasitic   protozoans  as causative agents of  infectious diseases  such as  malaria  and  trypanosomiasis . Following his father, Louis Théodore Laveran, he took up military medicine as profession. He obtained his medical degree from  University of Strasbourg  in 1867.  He discovered that the protozoan parasite ( Plasmodium ) was responsible for malaria, and that  Trypanosoma  caused trypanosomiasis or African sleeping sickness.

He is a right-handed batsman and a right-handed fast medium bowler. It was founded by  Henry Ford  and incorporated on June 16, 1903. The company sells automobiles and commercial vehicles under the  Ford  brand and most luxury cars under the  Lincoln  brand. Ford also owns Brazilian SUV manufacturer,  Troller , and Australian performance car manufacturer  FPV . In the past it has also produced tractors and automotive components.

[2]  He is noted for having first distinguished the main  blood groups  in 1900, having developed the modern system of classification of blood groups from his identification of the presence of  agglutinins  in the blood, and having identified, with  Alexander S. Birthday of Thomas Young Thomas Young  (13 June 1773 – 10 May 1829) was an English  polymath  and physician . Young made notable scientific contributions to the fields of  vision , light,  solid mechanics , energy,  physiology ,  language ,  musical harmony , and  Egyptology .  Young described the characterization of elasticity that came to be known as Young's modulus. In 1804, Young developed the theory of capillary phenomena on the principle of  surface tension . There are even much more things done by this great scientist.        Servants of India Society Gopala Krishna Gokhale        The  Servants of India Society  was formed in  Pune ,  Maharashtra , on June 12, 1905 by  Gopal Krishna Gokhale , [1]  who left the Deccan Education Society to form this association. Along with him were a small group of educated Indians, as Natesh Appaji Dravid, Gopal Krishna Deodhar and Anant Patwardhan who wanted to promote social and human development and overthrow the British rule in  India . The Society organized many campaigns to promote education, sanitation, health care and fight the  social evils  of  untouchability  and discrimination, alcoholism, poverty, oppression of women and domestic abuse.

            Lalu Prasad Yadav  (born 11 June 1948)  is an Indian politician from the state of  Bihar . He was  Chief Minister of Bihar  from 1990 to 1997 and  Minister of Railways  from 2004 to 2009 in the ruling  United Progressive Alliance  (UPA) government. He is the President of the  Rashtriya Janata Dal  political party. He was a  Member of Parliament  of  15th Lok Sabha  from the Saran constituency in Bihar.
